Packaging Tips
- Always use a new or like new corrugated box of suitable strength. Moving boxes are not suitable for shipping.
- Allow 2" between items and from the exterior of your box.
- Use enough cushioning to be sure items don't move when the container is shaken.
- Use suitable packing materials such as polystyrene peanuts and bubble wrap.
- Crumpled newspapers, clothing, blankets, pillows and towels are not acceptable as cushioning materials.
- Each item should be wrapped separately.
- Seal you package with 2" wide pressure sensitive plastic tape or Nylon reinforced filament tape. Don't use masking, cellophane or duct tape.
- Do not over wrap the container with paper or use string to secure the package.
- Be sure all old labels are removed from the package to prevent mis-delivery.
- Fragile items including electronics, glass, ceramics and artwork require additional cushioning and/or a double box.
Note: UPS does not provide special handling for packages marked fragile, Up arrows, or "This End Up" or similar markings.
